Hundreds to perform iconic aerial art action during World Social Forum
Action will visualize Leap Manifesto’s call for 100% renewable energy and economic justice
Montreal, Qc – On Wednesday, August 10, hundreds of people will gather on Mont-Royal mountain to create a large-scale visual that will be filmed from the sky. The human art action will visualize the movement around the Leap Manifesto, which calls for a 100% renewable energy economy that recognizes Indigenous rights, creates hundreds of thousands of good jobs, and addresses economic and racial inequality.
The creative action will take place during the World Social Forum in Montreal which gather tens of thousands of activists from around the world to envision a more socially and environmentally just world. The event is choreographed and produced by renowned aerial artist John Quigley of Spectral Q and by Quebecer Magalie Bonneau-Marcil, founder of Dancing Without Borders. Their previous aerial art events have attracted global media attention.
WHAT: Human Aerial art action demonstrating need to Leap from a fossil fuel economy toward justice-based 100% renewable energy.
