*-For Immediate Release-* *The Twelth Annual Israeli Apartheid Week Returns to Montreal* *Montreal, March 14 – *Montreal will join over 100 cities around the world in kicking off the twelth annual Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW). From Monday, March 14th until Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016, events will be taking place at universities and other venues across Montreal, including Concordia, Universite du Montreal and McGill. This year, organizers of this international week of events are raising awareness about a variety of issues, from Canadian colonialism and complicity in apartheid, to making links between Black and Palestinian struggles, to life under siege in Gaza, as well as analyzing Israeli apartheid through feminist lenses. Confirmed speakers for Israeli Apartheid Week 2016 in Montreal include *Bob Lovelace*, activist and teacher of Indigenous Studies at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario and former chief of the Ardoch Algonquin Nation. He was a participant on the Freedom Flotilla II: Stay Human in 2011. In 2015 he was kidnapped in international waters (as he was on the Freedom Flotilla III) by Israeli Occupation naval forces.
