Community Groups to hold a rally in front of the CNESST to mark International Workers Day.
A coalition of community groups against precarious work will hold a rally outside of the CNESST on May 1st to mark International Workers Day. The community groups will highlight the need for better protection for the thousands of immigrant and migrant workers in Quebec under the province’s labour standards. Their demands include CSST (workers’ comp) for domestic workers, protection under the labour standards for non-status workers, job stability (direct hiring after 3 months) for temporary agency workers and a $15 minimum wage in Quebec.

When: Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 5pm to 6pm
Where: 500 René-Levesque West, in front of the Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST)
