When: July 23, 2014, 17h30
Where: Outside Metro Mont-Royal

In light of the intensification of violence in Gaza, and the massacre committed by the Israeli military during the night of July 19-20 in Shuja’iya, a demonstration and vigil will take place on July 23rd. The action will take place at 17h30, outside of Metro Mt. Royal.

A demonstration will take place in solidarity with the Palestinian people, as well as a moment of silence and a vigil.

During the vigil, candles will be lit in memory of Palestinians killed by the invasion of Gaza by the Israeli military.

Participants of the demonstration call on the State of Israel to respect international rights, denounce the position of the Canadian Government, the Liberal Party and the NDP, and call on the people of Quebec to support the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign (BDS) against Israel.

Tadamon! (Arabic for “solidarity) is a Montreal based collective which works in solidarity with struggles for self-determination, equality and justice in the “Middle East” and in diaspora communities in Montreal and beyond.
